![]() After five years of baking, growing, and building this business together, I’m so excited to share a new chapter.May has felt especially meaningful this year as I’m also celebrating my 30th birthday on May 14th. Entering a new decade has me reflecting on where I’ve been, what I’ve built, and where I’m going next—and it felt like the right moment for this change. SamSweetz is becoming Kvell Bakery. Kvell is a Yiddish word that means deep pride and joy, the kind you feel when you watch something you love flourish. This name honors my Jewish heritage and reflects how this bakery has evolved over time. The craft has deepened, the vision has clarified, and I feel genuinely proud of what’s been built. What’s not changing? The products you love, the recipes, the events, and the farmers markets are all staying the same. This isn’t a restart. It’s a natural evolution of the work we’ve been doing together for years. Same baker. Same baked goods. Same community. Just a name that feels more aligned with where we are now. Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to keep baking for you. |
Summertime approachingAs we head into summertime, I’ll be slowing things down just a bit. You’ll still be able to find me at one farmers market each month, along with two preorder drops. This rhythm gives me the space to stay creative, intentional, and continue bringing you the quality you’ve come to expect. In lieu of the weekly farmers markets, I will offer custom orders and wholesale offerings. This is a soft launch and I’m so grateful you’re here for it. It means a lot to be able to share a deeper, more meaningful look into my business with all of you. You’ll start seeing the new name roll out at markets and online over the next month and I can’t wait to share more of what I’ve been working on. Thank you for being here and for supporting this business, for showing up at markets, and for being part of this community. I also want to say how grateful I am for the support behind this business in so many ways. In the kitchen, I’m so lucky to have my mom, my mother-in-law, and my amazing baking assistant who help bring everything to life. At markets, I couldn’t do it without my husband and my sister showing up and supporting me. And beyond that, I’m deeply grateful for all the friends and family who support me in big and small ways throughout this journey. This truly is something built with a lot of love and community behind it. This next chapter means so much to me, and I’m so grateful I get to share it with you. — Sam In the meantime, browse my website for more information regarding my baked goods, ordering, and events (like farmers marketings + baking classes). |
